At the heart of every thrill
Mulberry tea only we can make:
safe, trustworthy and delicious
Wakuwakuen began in Aira, Kagoshima, as an agricultural company that handles everything from growing mulberry to processing and selling it.
About Us
Giving shape to producers' passion
and delivering it, as their partner
Drawing on the e-commerce know-how built through our own sales channels, we launched our e-commerce support business in response to local producers who told us, "We want to get our products out there, too."
Regional revitalization that connects to the future
Because we are producers ourselves, we bring a producer's perspective to drawing out the appeal of small municipalities and carrying it into the future.
Our Business
Three businesses that support both health and local communities
Mulberry Production, Processing & Sales
We farm about 7 hectares in Aira, Kagoshima, growing organically with great care from the soil up. Our Organic JAS-certified factory uses the world's only tencha drying furnace fitted with Sakurajima lava plates to process the leaves into crude mulberry tea. We also roast and make tea bags in-house, delivering safe, trustworthy and delicious mulberry tea.

E-Commerce Support
We launched our e-commerce support business in response to local producers who told us, "We want to get our products out there, too." Staying close to that wish, we work alongside them to build ways to sell and ways to tell their story.

Regional Revitalization (Furusato Nozei)
Through our intermediary support for Furusato Nozei (Japan's hometown tax donation program), we propose, from a producer's point of view, how to present and make the most of a small municipality's appeal. We bring out the value of local resources and build systems that help hometowns thrive.
